It is quite obvious that the Republican party will be trying to play catch up the rest of this year heading into the November mid terms. Their hateful , lying , intentionally mis informing rhetoric is not going to win them too many victories this fall. They can not continue to act the way they have been and expect success. Their unsuccessful attempt at shutting this Health insurance reform down does not bode well for them.

Its been working for the Democrats all these years. Or would you dare try and convince me that Republicans have a monopoly on hate, lies, intentional misinformation, double speak and rhetoric? ;O)

There is no " high road " in politics. To suggest otherwise simply because of party affiliation is folly.

Cheers.........

I'd say both parties are in for a rough road come November and in 2012. People are angry, and not just at health care reform, not just at the attempts to block health care reform. They're fed up with agendas and finger pointing. They're fed up with elitism and legacies. They're fed up with the constant bickering and the foolishness...

The President was right when he told the Republicans at the health care summit "That's what elections are for." We'll see just how many people are upset enough to get up off their butts and do the one thing that makes this the great country that it is. Vote.

You are kidding, arent you Alan? After all the crap the democrats pulled to get this crappy bill passed. Hell, they had to bribe and twist arms with members of their own party to pass this thing. The democrats are going to lose in November. The republicans might even get a small majority in the house. I live in Illinios, which is a bigtime blue state. I know a lot of democrats and independents that voted for Obama feel like they made a huge mistake. They see him for what he is, a socialist. And that is out of their mouths. Even Al Sharpton said this week that a vote for Obama was basically a vote for socialism. And BTY, the republicans are not the only politicians that lie. ALL POLITIANS LIE NO MATTER WHAT PARTY.

As much as I hate to say this, Americans are lazy when it comes to voting. You look at the Iraqi's voting when they have to worry about getting killed for doing so.

No I am not kidding Coholen. Sarah Palin is back stirring things up with McCain. The Republicans are trying to cater to the tea party members. There are not enough tea party participants to affect the outcome of an election. This isnt a movement like the evangelical movement that the Republicans had used the few previous elections when they were still winning. Death panels, Govt Take over of health care, Socialism, come on coholen. You really think this crap is going to work anymore. No it will not. There is a huge difference between a politician saying something and not being able to accomplish it or say something to deflect or grab attention. This issues you have to admit is and has been one of the biggest issues facing America ever. People have died because they have been victims of the for profit health care system started when Nixon was president. How many times in the history of this country have not only politicians made things up but a huge network of talk shows on the radio and their own personal News Network to spread their hate and lies and propaganda. Never. Times have changed. Information is too easy to come by.

How are you going to cut medicare without rationing? And you know this is the first step to single payer with will eventually be a government takeover of healthcare. So yes, it is socialism. Not only that, it is unconstitutional. and on the tea party people. Dont judge by how many show up to rallys. There are a whole bunch that cant show up because of work, family, or dont have the expenses to do so. It is the lefts goal to bring down the tea party. All they are doing is pissing off people more. And that will show up at the ballot box in November. That fake spitting incident before the vote says it all.

Let me ask you this. What is the VA considered. So many people throw out socialism. This is not socialism. the VA is. The govt is not trying to take over the doctors and the hospitals. As it stands now this fight is with health insurance. No ifs ands or buts about it. So Reagan signs this hospitals must care for anyone that walks through the doors even if they have no insurance or no money to pay for it. So the unconstitutional argument holds no weight. Millions of people would have insurance if they could afford it, their Employer offered it. Ask all of those people that have had to file for bankruptcies that were medical related. The right must think that those people do not matter. 65 million people voted for Obama and health reform was one of the things he was campaigning on. Republicans are in the minority now because of what they did to this country. At the same time many people are miffed because Obama did not push hard enough and go far enough .

Have you been to a VA? Before my father died, i took him twice a year for checkups and to get the ok for free medicine. It was a all day affair and they didnt approve all the medicine he needed. Get used to it because eventually thats the final goal. And the unconstitutional argument holds water and you know why. And I bet you, 65 million wont be voting for him next time.

The VA is socialized. Yes I was there once because I had no health insurance at the time when I was in the reserves. Neither you nor I know what is going to come of this. I love the debate and I listen to those that have valid arguments not those that are on medicare and say keep the govt out of everything and hold up signs that would make Dick Morris happy. Arguing points that you believe make this a bad bill in no way condones the actions of the Republican party. Their actions have been deplorable. Their actions have been cowardly. Their actions have been politically motivated. When all of the right wing pundits have shit eating grins on their faces and they are saying the same talking points over and over. There is a problem there. I am not happy that our 2 party system is so broken at this point. But our system is set up as majority rules. The Dems are the majority and the Republicans are having a hard time dealing with it.
