Hello,

It has recently come to my attention that our current theme is hard on some of our members eyes. I am hesitant to change our default theme as it is not commonly used and helps provide some originality to our site. And I've spent countless hours of my time developing our site around this theme.

But I have discovered a compromise to those interested. If you are having trouble reading posts here or if the color theme is bothering your eyes you can go to your " User control panel/edit global settings/board style." There you will find an option to change board theme to " Pro Silver."

Our default style will remain the same but I have enabled members to change their personal default style. I hope this helps those who have trouble with our current theme. Let me know if this has helped.

Thank you,
'
Biscuit

Cool. Thanks Biscuit. I was kind of reluctant to bring it up. I can say this theme is a bit better than the Halloween one, but not by much. Don't know why, but my eyes just can't seem to get a focus. Maybe it's my myopia? Something about the red on a dark background? I don't know. I appreciate the ability to go back to the original. Yeah, it lacks some, that I don't deny. Can't see the big ole barn, but I can see it in my head. Just glad I can see the forum better. Thanks!!!

Just thought I'd give a shout out to the pastures that today is Statehood Day
for Vermont, the 14th State in 1791, and the first Congress meeting under
the USCONST in 1789. Happy History, Chelseans !!

Interesting bit of trivia concerning the admission of Vermont to the Union...

At the time of the admission, Vermont was an independent Republic. Jefferson, who was Secretary of State at the time, felt that Vermont should be treated as a foreign nation, that an ambassador was needed, and that the process of actually admitting Vermont to the Union was going to be a bit more complicated than simply having them ratify the US Constitution and garnishing enough votes from Congress. Washington poo-pooed all that, and Vermont was admitted as though it wasn't a sovereign nation...

To this day, there are Vermonters who claim that the process wasn't followed correctly, and that Vermont still retains its' sovereignty...
